Limiting searches - STRATEGIES

Go to the Basic Search or Guided Search screen.

Click the Limits Button .

Now, choose which option(s) by which you want to limit your search.

After you click on the Limits button at the bottom-right of the page, you will be taken back to the search screen from which you began and may then enter your search as you normally would.

Limiting a Keyword search by date and language

Go to the Basic Search screen, highlight Relevance Keyword(s), and click the button.

Type 1978 in the Date box.

Select the second radio button ( >) after the Date box. This will limit your search to publications no earlier than 1978.

For Language, select English by clicking on it in the scroll box.

The following is what the Search Limits screen looks like for this Keyword search:

After you have made your selections click on the Set Limits button on the bottom of the screen.

This will take you back to the Relevance Keyword(s) screen.
