Title:
Annual Review of Biochemistry
Description: The Annual Review of
Biochemistry, in publication since 1932, sets the standard for
review articles in biological chemistry and molecular biology. Since
its inception, these volumes have served as an indispensable
resource for both the practicing biochemist and students of
biochemistry.
The recent change in format, which includes summary and future issue
sections, helps students and those new to the field.
Each volume covers the most significant advances in our present
state of knowledge and new developments in methodology for
biochemistry. Subjects covered include DNA chemistry, structure,
enzymology, and modification, especially DNA repair, replication,
recombination, and transposition; chromosome architecture and
mechanics; RNA chemistry, structure, enzymology, and modification;
gene transcription and its regulation; protein chemistry, evolution,
folding, structure, function, and engineering; the properties of
coenzymes, cofactors, antibiotics and other small organic and
inorganic molecules of biological and medical interest and
importance; the chemistry, structure, enzymology and modification of
lipids and carbohydrates; supramolecular assemblies and the
processes in which they participate including biological membranes,
vesicular transport, signal transduction mechanisms, organelle
biogenesis, and other aspects of cellular biochemistry related to
development, differentiation, physiology, nutrition, and the
biochemical basis of organ and tissue function as well as the
molecular basis of both inherited and infectious diseases.
Annual Review of Biochemistry is ranked #1 in impact factor among
the 262 publications in the area of biochemistry and molecular
biology that are evaluated by the ISIŽ Journal Citation Reports (JCRŽ).
Annual Review of Biochemistry is available online and in print.
