About the Artist
Tomaszewski is one of the most outstanding of the new wave of contemporary sculptors. His work is unique - one of a kind. No one surpasses the kind of work he does in wood and stone ( Henry Riseman ).
His figures appear ghost-like and leave an impression that is hauntingly memorable and profound in its simplicity ( Robert Marston).
Tomaszewski has the imagination and sensitivity that lets him 'see' inside of the rocks and wood he collects ... Very few sculptors since Auguste Rodin have known how to release the spirit that is imprisoned within stony and lifeless confines. Lubomir Tomaszewski is certainly the best ( King Street Chronicle).
Artist on Art
There is no visible separation of nature, man, and art. I attempt in my work to fuse all three together in quiet harmony. I wish to create a piece of art that can be lived with every day, but which continues to evoke new human emotions from the viewer. If my art can help just one person realize the profound strength and beauty that nature so abundantly provides, I will be truly successful in my work.
