Program in Graduate Medical Education Seton Hall University, founded in 1856, was actively interested in medical educational for many years. In 1946 Seton Hall began a graduate medical education program sponsored by the Essex County Medical Society which was later integrated into the Seton Hall College of Medicine and Dentistry. The Post-Graduate Department was developed after the College of Medicine and Dentistry was founded to coordinate a comprehensive program of short term post-graduate coursed and full-time graduate credit course. The purpose of the program was to: 1)
to keep abreast of current advances in the field of general
medicine
