Written by the Atmosphere, Climate & environment Information Programme, the encyclopedia offers information on a multitude of atmospheric issues; e.g., ozone depletion, acid rain, air quality, etc.

This excellent website offers resources on environmental information by topic. It is a major networking hub for environmental organizations.

EPA Global Warming Site
This site is a one-stop source for general outreach material designed to inform the public about global warming.

National Environmental Publications Internet Site (nepis)
Search over 10,000 full text, EPA documents online. Documents that are not available online can be ordered from the agency through NEPIS.

NatureServe
A self-proclaimed network connecting science with conservation. This nonprofit organization provides scientific informaiton and tools necessary to help guide effective conservation action.

NCSE's Congressional Research Reports Database
This database provides access to about 1400 CRS reports in environmental topics.

The Paleomap Project
The goal of this project is to allow users to view climactic and geological changes of the earth through the millennia. Users can also visually experience the planet of the future.

PopPlanet
Up to date country specific informaiton on population, enrivonmental and health issues. In this site one can view POPLINE, the population information online database maintained by the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health.

WildWorld
Produced by the World wildlife Fund, and National Geographic, users can select from 200 diverse ecological regions and 867 land-based ecoregions and get detailed information about the region and/or environmental difficulties in that region.
