Overview of Government Publications in the University Library

The University Library has been a federal selective depository since 1947, and a New Jersey state depository since 1968. We are also a New Jersey State Data Center affiliate. We acquire print, microform, and electronic publications in selected areas, according to curriculum and local needs. Among the strengths of the collection are materials on health, education, business and the economy. Government publications are available to the general public, as well as to Seton Hall affiliates. Many documents circulate to borrowers with a Seton Hall or REBL (Essex County Reciprocal Borrower) library card.

Locations

Government Publications are located on the third floor of the Walsh Library building. Bills and congressional hearings are located on microfiche, on the first floor of the Walsh Library building. CD-ROMs are also located on the first floor--ask a reference librarian for more information.
