CSHP, or the Center for State Health Policy at Rutgers, is a "guide to health policy related websites." Resources include statistics and other data sources, funding information, publications, and events.

Combined Health Information Database (CHID) -
    CHID is a database produced by health-related agencies of the U.S. Federal Government. It provides titles, abstracts, and availability information for health information and health education resources. At present, CHID supports 18 topics that can be searched individually or as a group. The mission of the OGHA is"to promote the heatlh of the people of the world by advancing the Department of Health ahd Human Services' global strategies and partnerships." In searching this website, one can find web resources on global health, international data resources, archives, international travel advisories, etc., in addition to information various diseases.

HealthyNJ
    Information for Healthy Living, is a searchable website, published by the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), that focuses on issues of health and wellness. With a particular focus on New Jersey, the site was developed the Consumer Health Information Task Force, a group of librarians at UMDNJ, to meet healthcare information needs of consumers, policymakers, and healthcare professionals. The site also includes information on disease and conditions, in addition to health and wellness, and health in New Jersey

Medical Journals

MEDLINE 
       PubMed, a service of the National Library of Medicine, provides access to over 11 million citations from MEDLINE and additional life science journals. PubMed includes links to many sites providing full text articles and other related resources.

The National Foundation for Infectious Diseases Website
    The NFID is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing information on infectious diseases both to the public and healthcare professionals. It also supports research, training, prevention, and treatment of infectious diseases. The website contains fact sheets on infectious diseases and an invaluable list of pertinent websites.

National Institute of Mental Health
The site, produced by the U.S. Department of Healthe and Human Services and the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), is devoted to the understanding, treatment, and prevention of behavioral disorders. It also contains information for amateurs and professionals alike on recent findings in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders.

National reference center for bioethics literature

PLoS Medicine
The non-profit, Public LIbrary of Science will publish PLoS Medicine starting this autumn. It will include peer-reviewed examples of medical research. It will also include features about the developments in medicine, controversial medical topics, and more. The journal is freely available online.
