 FEBRUARY 25 Promise of the Spirit |
PRAYER. God my Father, You sent Your Spirit on the Church to strengthen, enlighten, and guide her. Let me also partake of His gifts. |

WHEN our Lord was leaving His
Apostles, He consoled them by the
promise of another Guide and
Teacher-the Third Person in the
Ever-blessed Trinity, the Spirit of Himself and
of His Father, Who should come with great
power and comfort.
The special way in which God the Holy Spirit gave glory to God the Son seems to have been His revealing Him as the Only-begotten Son of the Father, Who had appeared as the Son of Man. |
