JANUARY 12

Peace of a Good Conscience
PRAYER.

Jesus, I accept everything that comes to me in this life, both the joys and the sorrows. Help me to reflect Your Presence in my soul.

IT is a difficult and rare virtue to mean what we say, to love without dissimulation, to think no evil, to bear no grudge, to be free from selfishness, to be innocent and straight-forward. This character of mind is one of the surest marks of Christ's elect.

They take everything in good part which happens to them and make the best of every one. Such persons are cheerful and contented. They desire but little and take pleasure in the least matters, having no wish for riches and distinction.
