JANUARY 31

Doing Everything for God
PRAYER.

O Lord, when I perform acts of self-denial, accept them in reparation for my sins and for Your glory.

THIS world is a very little thing to give up for the next. Let us aim at the concisetent habit of mind of looking toward God and rejoicing in the glory which shall be revealed. In that case, whether we eat or drink, or abstain, or whatever we do, we shall do all for Him.

Let us aim at being true heirs of the promise. Let us aspire to be holy and undefiled, "blameless and harmless, in the midst of a perverse nation" (Phil 2:15).
