PRAYER. Your Divine Son, O God, was obedient to death for my sake. May I always be grateful for what He has done. |

JESUS was obedient unto death to atone
for our sins. There the triumph of His enemies ended-ended with what was necessary for our redemption.
Immediately some tokens showed that the real victory was with Him-the earthquake and other wonders in heaven and earth. These were enough to justify His claim in the judgment of the centurion who said at once, "Truly this was the Son of God" (Mt 27:54). |
