English 1202 Research Guide

Linking You & Your Library

Welcome to The Library Research Process

This research guide is designed for ENGL 1202 students who are beginning and continuing their research. The tabs for this guide (over on the left side of this page) are devoted to the major phases of the research process:

Reading the Assignment – understanding what your professor expects of you
Developing a Topic – the reading, thinking and writing that are part of your research process
Searching for Information – finding and accessing information from the web, the library and elsewhere
Choosing Your Sources – determining what information is reliable and relevant to your topic
Citing Sources – learning how to cite sources properly

Students who are required or encouraged to attend an English 1202 library workshop can see the calendar and sign-up here: ENGL 1201/1202 Virtual and In-Person Workshop Schedule
