Intranet: Removing Outlook Logs

This applies to any individuals receiving mail in their Unread mailbox (under Favorites in Outlook) titled: Synchronization Log: or Modification Resolution. These emails contain seemingly nonsensical information – for example:

If you receive messages such as these, you can turn them off by following the directions below:

• Right-click on the folder “Unread Mail” found under your Favorites on the left-hand pane in Outlook.

• From here, click on “Customize this Search Folder…”

• Click on Browse in the “Custom Search Folder” menu to bring up the “Select Folder(s)” menu.

• The “Select Folder(s)” menu will have the box next to your email address checked (see above). You want to uncheck this, and expand your inbox by clicking the arrow next to Inbox. From here, check the box next to Inbox, as well as all of the folders under your inbox (subfolders). Then click, “OK” and you should no longer receive any synchronization/modification logs.
