The value of introductory research on any topic often begins by consulting ready reference sources. Encyclopedias are one such reference tool that provides basic information on various areas of human endeavor and serves as a research aid designed to help an individual acquire basic data on a particular question they might have in mind. Other college and university archival repositories across the land have already started their own version of an institutional/historical encyclopedia which the Seton Hall version is based upon. Along with such subject areas that include individuals, icons, architecture and events, select entries on the Archdiocese of Newark and related subject areas will stand as the centerpiece of this site. This ongoing project is designed to find existing sites located via the Internet in combination with capsules created by our valued volunteers and posted upon completion. Each entry listed below will have its own link (along with the source where applicable) to the corresponding capsule. For more information, thoughts for appropriate sites or to offer feedback please feel free to contact Alan Delozier, Director via e-mail: delozial@shu.edu or phone at: (973) 275-2378.
