Command - SEARCH
STRATEGIES
- Select
- Type your terms into
the search box
For Command searching:
- Use AND, OR, NOT in
capitals to combine search terms:
AND will find
records containing both terms:
women AND health
OR will find
records containing either term:
journalism OR reporting
NOT will exclude
records containing unwanted terms:
fatigue NOT metal
- The terms AND, OR, NOT
must be in capitals (you can type the whole search in
capitals)
- Use opening/closing
brackets to group similiar terms:
("death
penalty" OR "capital punishment") AND
(criminals OR recidivists)
- Use quotation marks to
search phrases: "capital punishment"
