Artist Opportunities


Exhibition proposals are accepted by invitation only.

Artists may submit materials for consideration to be included in future group exhibitions. In order for us to consider your work, please send the following:

  • Full size JPEG images on a USB drive, CD, or DVD.
    • Files must be titled in the following format: "Artist Name_Object Title."
  • Object list on a thumbnail sheet with details of the artwork.
  • Artist CV/resume.

Exhibitions are planned three years out. Materials are reviewed by our gallery committee twice annually, usually in June and December.

Include a self-addressed stamped envelope if you would like your materials returned after review. Otherwise, they will be discarded if not selected.

Research Opportunities


The Walsh Gallery has a considerable collection of fine art, artifacts and archeological specimens. Researchers may submit a request for an appointment to conduct research utilizing the database/objects at the discretion of the Collections Manager in consultation with appropriate staff.

Window Displays


The Walsh Gallery provides individuals and groups with display space in its four full-length window displays located in prominent, heavily traveled locations around the Walsh Library.

  • Contact the gallery at least six weeks before the intended display period.
  • All window exhibits must be at least four weeks in duration.
  • Content should be educational or artistic in nature. We accept requests from the Seton Hall community as well as the general public.
  • Window Display Dimensions: 87" H x 95" W x 29 1/2" D.
  • Note: Window display areas are not climate-controlled and objects will be subjected to ambient light. The windows include track lighting and access to electrical outlets.
 
 
  • Note that window displays are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis and often require booking up to three months in advance.

Work Study Employment


Do you have skills you are willing to use to support the Walsh Gallery? Work in a professional exhibition environment run by staff dedicated to providing quality programming!

We are currently accepting applications for federally funded work study students, interns and volunteers.

Interns and Volunteers


Build your career as a museum or gallery professional. Be a part of a dynamic gallery team in an acclaimed venue!

  • Please note that internships are unpaid but we are able to work with students seeking college credit.
