Go to The Zotero download page to:

Step 1: Download Zotero 6.0 for Windows, macOS, or Linux.

Step 2: Install the Zotero Connector for Chrome. Don't use Chrome? Click on Zotero Connectors for other browsers to install the Firefox or Safari Connector.

Step 3: Register for a free account at https://www.zotero.org/user/register. (We suggest using your personal email address so you don't lose your account when you graduate).

Step 4: Link your web account to your desktop Zotero application. Go to (1) Edit>Preferences and then (2) Sync. Enter your username/password and click "Set Up Syncing."

Step 5: Zotero should automatically integrate into Microsoft word. See Troubleshooting Guide if Zotero Word plugin does not appear after Zotero installation.
