Research Data Services

The DataLab Process

At the DataLab, work closely with faculty members to provide students with the opportunity to learn and apply data analysis skills while simultaneously providing assistance to faculty members with their research projects and scholarships.

The DataLab process begins with faculty members and the Research Data Services team brainstorming a project timeline and putting together a specialized training schedule for the students who will work with the faculty member in charge of the project. We work closely with faculty members to identify their research needs and design relevant data workshops that align with their research projects.

Our goal is to provide students with practical training and hands-on experience with data analysis tools and techniques. We believe that this experience is essential for students who are interested in pursuing careers in research or related fields.

During the DataLab, students are required to attend a minimum of four data classes and participate in hands-on workshops. In addition, students will work with faculty members to complete research projects that are aligned with their interests and skills. Our program provides students with the opportunity to learn and apply data analysis skills while simultaneously providing assistance to faculty members with their research projects and scholarships.
