Three Steps are Required

Step 1: Read and review the submissions requirements under About - Dissertations, Theses, & Final Projects

Step 2: Submit dissertation to SHU eRepository and upload a signed signature sheet as an Additional file.

Pause until you receive confirmation that your dissertation has been posted in eRepository after all revisions have been made, if necessary. Check you email for revision requests.

Step 3: Submit dissertation to ProQuest Database. Do NOT submit signed signature sheet.

Step 1: The submission process consists of the following steps:

1. Read and accept the Submission Agreement.

2. Include your title page followed by a copyright page and a signature sheet without signatures but includes the candidate's name. A separate signature sheet, signed by your advisor and committee members, must be uploaded as a separate Additional File at the bottom of the eRepository submission form. Students may obtain the signature sheets from their department.  

3. Include your name exactly as it appears on the title and copyright pages and your advisors names exactly as it appears on the signature sheet.  

4. Include an abstract (up to 500 words)

5. Include list of keywords (10 maximum)

6. Submit the final approved copy of your dissertation (track changes removed) in PDF format.

7. Upload your PDF file and your signed signature sheet.

8. You may pay the $40 fee with PayPal.          

9.  If your study was approved by the Seton Hall University Institutional Review Board, you must include a copy of the approval form as an appendix. If your study was not under the purview of the Seton Hall University Institutional Review Board, there is no need to comply with this requirement. 10. Please make sure the final dissertation copy is submitted and the information is correct. All submissions are final.

Note: Please make sure your submission is complete. Incomplete or incorrect information will delay the processing of your submission. Please allow up to five business days for processing. 

Step 2: Submit your Dissertation to eRepository

Before you submit, please review the Requirements & Procedures above and the submission instructions.

Note: Please make sure your submission is complete. Incomplete or incorrect information will delay the processing of your submission. Please allow up to five business days for processing.

Please submit your final, approved copy. Check your Seton Hall email for revision notices. Your dissertation/thesis is not accepted into the eRepository until you receive an email stating that it has been posted to the Seton Hall University eRepository.

Step 3: Submit your Dissertation to ProQuest

Once your dissertation has been approved and posted in the eRepository you can submit the final version to ProQuest, including all revisions. Do not submit your signed signature sheet.

Bound copies of your dissertation may be ordered in the ProQuest submission module for departmental and additional personal copies.
