Seminary Library Book Donations Policy

The Monsignor James C. Turro Library of Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology gratefully accepts donations of books and journals in the areas of theology, Church history, Christian spirituality, biblical studies, and the lives of the saints.

Please note that the Library does not have the staff or transportation resources to pick up donations. Donors are responsible for arranging delivery to the Library Service Desk, located in front of the Library Office on the basement level of Lewis Hall. An elevator is available for your convenience.

Within one month of receiving a donation, the Library will issue an acknowledgment letter, which may be used as documentation for a tax-deductible gift.

However, by law, we are unable to provide an appraisal or estimate of the monetary value of donated materials. Donors should consult a qualified appraiser or tax preparer to determine the value for tax purposes.

We kindly ask that you call us in advance of any delivery. You can reach the Library during office hours at (973) 761-9198.

Thank you for supporting the Seminary Library and its mission to serve future Church leaders and scholars.
