Getting Started
  1. Be sure you understand the task before beginning:
    • Identify the audience who you'll be presenting to
    • Identify valid source types (ex. 10k, press release, social media)
    • Recognize time constraints
  2. When evaluating resources always consider the 4 Ws:
    • Who wrote this and are they an authority on the subject? Can you trust the author?
    • What is the material about? Is it similar or different to other materials?
    • Why did the author write this? Identify motivations and potential biases.
    • When was the material written? Depending on the topic a historical text might be useful.
  3.  Remember to properly cite your work!
