The VALE Reciprocal borrowing agreement is a cooperative onsite borrowing agreement among 62 participating VALE member colleges and universities. Under the agreement, faculty and staff from participating institutions who are in good standing at their home library qualify for onsite borrowing privileges at each other’s libraries.
Faculty and students who borrow materials from the participating libraries are responsible for complying with the lending library's circulation policies, including loan periods, overdue fines, recalls, all replacement and processing fees, and for returning all borrowed items directly to the lending library.
VALE is composed of member institutions. Individuals participate in VALE through their employer library. Seton Hall University Libraries is a participating member of VALE.
