Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)

Welcome

Welcome to this Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Guide.  This guide is a work in progress inspired by NYC Open Data Week 2021.  Please send suggestions to lisa.deluca@shu.edu.  Thanks for visiting!

FOIA Libraries

FOIA Libraries are the repositories for many documents released under the FOIA (Freedom of Information Act), i.e., “responsive documents,” by federal agencies and their sub agencies.  There are over 400 FOIA Libraries.  You can search for an "agency name" and "FOIA Library" to get right to the FOIA Library for a federal agency.
