Shakespearean Criticism provides accessible introductory essays followed by carefully selected critical responses to allow users to engage with a variety of scholarly views and critical conversations about Shakespeare’s works as literature and in performance.

Literary Criticism and Biography Databases  is a portal. You can use the search bar at the top of the page to search all of the electronic resources from Gale we subscribe to or you can use the  advanced search feature to search individual electronic resources. Important databases include:

Literary Index allows an author, title and custom search across Gale literary series.

Literature Resource Center provides up-to-date biographical information, overviews, full-text literary criticism and reviews on nearly 130,000 writers in all disciplines, from all time periods and from around the world.

Other Online Databases and E-Journals

Walsh Library subscribes to literary databases that will be useful for your research. Almost all of them provide access to full-text journals such as Shakespeare (London, England), Shakespeare Quarterly, Shakespeare Bulletin, Shakespeare Studies (Columbia), and the Shakespeare Newsletter.
