FRED Economic Data

The Research Division of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis produces research in the areas of money and banking, macroeconomics, and international and regional economics.  A a part of this mission, they consolidate U.S. Government economic data into the FRED database.   The data is preloaded into graphing tools that allow the user to customize the timeframes, and layer multiple times-series data into a visual.

The over 400,000 datasets include: Consumer Price Index (CPI), Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Treasury Rates, Unemployment, Exchange Rates, Inflation, and Household Income.

Graph can be customized by Units (absolute, percentage, percent change), Frequency (annual, quarterly), Formulas (to combine data, create ratios), and by adding additional datasets to the chart.
