NJ Health Indicators
- NJDOH NJ State Health Assessment Data (SHAD)Query what health indicators you need such as: IMR, Deaths by causes and crude rates, Chronic conditions and risks (see survey, e.g., DM, Smoking, obesity). Use county rates when you select because towns are rarely reported. Look down the list on Query page and link to CDC for state and US data. For other morbidity data (TB, CA, CHD, STDs) go to NJSHAD (home page) --> resources--> NJDOH Offices.
- NJDOH Behavior Risk Factor SurveyLook up: CA, TB, STDs etc. separately for county and NJ. Do not cut and paste charts into paper, but they'll tell you Essex Co. compared to NJ! See above specific ID programs. You can also search for medical reasons for hospitalization for your town’s residents.
