Understanding Bias

Bias is favoring an idea that is prejudicial or unfair. But how can data or algorithms be biased? Aren't numbers and computers unbiased? Yes, computers and data are not biased but researchers can be. How and what we as researchers decide to measure, how we frame questions and who we ask can all lead to bias in the data.
