PolicyMap This link opens in a new windowPolicyMap is a web-based, GIS-lite mapping tool. It allows you to create shaded maps with data points as well as tables with U.S. data. Community and Community Health profiles are also available for states, counties and towns.
Demographic data in the system can be used to map out the market potential for products or services. For example, the map below highlights communities where there are 1) a large number of children 2) high average household income and 3) large number of working women. This demographic might be promising for convenience products and services preferred by people with more money than time.
Policy map also offers demographic market reports on geographies of various sizes.
