Celtic Bronze Ring

Celtic Bronze Ring

This bronze ring, dating to 200 – 100 B.C.E., was made during the Iron Age.  A great deal of material culture from this period survives, in part, due to the large areas of boglands which created the anaerobic conditions that arrest decay.  The bogs also tend to yield numerous artifacts made of organic materials. Gift of Ron D'Argenio
