ReBL (Reciprocal Borrowing and Lending)
- Students who live on campus or do not live locally or can still access nearby public libraries. Get a ReBL sticker on your SHU ID card from the 2nd Floor Circulation Desk at Walsh Library to check materials out from a number of Essex County libraries based on each library's lending policies.
- Stickers are good for one calendar year they were issued.
- Available for students, faculty, staff.
Each library has their own lending policies for ReBL borrowers. See the local South Orange Public Library policy below for an example.
- As a ReBL borrower you can:
- Check out books, audio books on CD, music CD’s, DVD’s, and more.
- Access public computers with your library card
- Connect to free Wi-Fi
- Utilize wireless printing
- Take advantage of library programs, including guest speakers, movie showings, crafts, and book discussion.
- ReBL borrowers cannot:
- Place inter-library loan requests
- Renew materials online
- Place holds on materials
- Check out tech materials such as hotspots and laptops
- Take out museum passes
- Access Libby
- Use BCCLs
